The issue becomes how do students get the experience requirement checked off when experience is key to landing a job in any industry for recent graduates.
I think you have to consider the opportunity cost of getting your MBA in a full-time program (many times in a year if you have an undergrad in a business field), or going part time while working in industry (many times in 2+ years).
For me, working while earning my MBA was the best choice.
Thank you. Yes, I am already in the workforce; I work in the healthcare industry, however; I am not sure I am getting all the experience in the economics sense. It has been difficult to land a job in the economics field with the experience I have. I have not encountered part-time opportunities in this field.
Thanks for pointing out that perspective. Most of our students work while they earn their MBA. As an international student, I never had that opportunity.
This is a great read! Thanks Dr. A!
