The Fellow Program
There are great things happening this summer at the Center for Economic Education. One of the exciting opportunities is mentoring the new CEE Fellows. In 2016, I started the CEE Fellows program. It was my attempt to formalize the mentorship and professional development work I do with students. Over the years it has grown and with the support of funders (thank you) the program has turned into paid job opportunities.
A couple of weeks ago, the new team was on-boarded. Starting over the summer and the next academic year, the CEE Fellows will learn about research in academia, community engagement, fundraising, and creating and scaling programs.
Annual Theme
We have annual themes to anchor our work. This year’s theme is influenced by Jeni Al Bahrani’s work in entrepreneurship. The CEE Fellows and I will be looking into the Economics of Entrepreneurship. We will be spending our summer reading research and understanding policies that target business formation and its importance to the economy. If you have any recommendations, I would greatly appreciate it. As Jeni says, we are in the first phase of our work, the “fall in love with the problem”. Any links, thoughts, or podcasts would help, please send them my way.
Meet the Team
From left to right
Allyson Kunkle- Allyson is a sophomore finance major. She just completed my Principles of Macroeconomics course. She hopes to learn more about career opportunities in the financial services industry. Most importantly, she is driven by her mission to make a difference!
Aro Rajaonah- Aro is a senior economics and stats major. He is interested in research and academia. He hopes to learn more about economic development and public policy. Most importantly, he is driven by his mission to make a difference!
Asia Norman- Asia is a junior majoring in economics and entrepreneurship. She is interested in household finance and gender differences in economic outcomes. Most importantly, she is driven by her mission to make a difference!

How Can You Help?
We are always looking for speakers and mentors. If you are familiar with any research or popular press that discusses entrepreneurship, we would love to hear from you. We are also interested in attending conferences that encourage undergraduates to participate, do you have any recommendations?
