What you missed this week
I started 2025 with a personal challenge: 45 minutes of writing each morning.
Twenty-four days in, this commitment has lead to daily LinkedIn posts, engaging reels, and consistent newsletter content.
My formula is simple but non-negotiable. At 4 a.m., it's just me, coffee, and a blank page- I use Notes on Apple. By 5 a.m., I transition from writing to heading to the gym for a workout, another non-negotiable. The early hours bring clarity; this focus on writing and fitness has become my daily cornerstone. The fitness has always been part of my morning, but the writing is a new addition.
I have always started my day at 4 am but can't predict whether I'll maintain my writing routine. What I do know is that right now, these quiet morning hours are transforming my creativity and productivity in unexpected ways.
They say to focus on creating systems and habits and carving out time for the things you need. This is mine. The morning combination of creating and moving has become my anchor. While the 4 a.m. start isn't for everyone, finding your own sacred time slot matters. The best system is the one you'll actually follow.
What is your system?
This is challenging! I write about twice a week (negotiable) and play soccer or lift about three times a week (negotiable).
Personally , I combed a daily writing and reading challenge mid last year and have had great success. I find when I'm creating for myself and not a profit it is easier and far more enjoyable. Not to say I don't like my day job.
