That sounds like an interesting perspective. I'm curious if you've gotten a chance to read Triumph of the City yet? You may also enjoy Matthew Kahn's Unlocking the Potential of Post-Industrial Cities.
I read Triumph of the City. I think I gave it a 3 out of 5. It was good, but a bit dense and felt repetitive. Suitable for a class read, not for an everyday book. I will check out Kahn's book.
I think that's a fair assessment. It was riveting for the first few chapters and then got repetitive. Kahn's book is much shorter, but it hits on why cities like Pittsburgh have seen so much more success than cities like Cleveland.
